Perfect Pattersons

I have been busy lately working in photoshop and attempting to learn digital scrapbooking. What a fun way to showcase some of the beautiful families I have been privileged to photograph lately.

Here is a layout from the Patterson photo shoot. What a fun family! And so very photogenic!

I am working on more so check back soon!

Sepia Love

I have lots of love for Black and White and Sepia photos. Technically, the sepia ones here are more of an antique type finish but I LOVE IT! How about you?

These darling models, if you don't recognize them already, are my sister's family. They were brave to do this shoot with me on a cold winter day. It really was cold and we were losing daylight, but we managed to get a few quick shots before the kids protested.

Unfortunately, my poor sad blog has been a casualty to my life's craziness. Due to no fault of its own, it has been completely neglected. That is until now. I really do love photography and have found the renewed interest in displaying what I love so much. So here are some of the pictures that I have put my heart and soul into the past several months. I hope you enjoy!

My wonderful sister and her family

A few weeks ago I took my sister's family pictures. I took her family to this old abandoned house near where I live. It is a super creepy house, but we had a good time making use of some of the cute areas around the house. They were great and never complained about the creepiness!

What a Cute Boy!

Here are some pictures from a recent photo shoot I did at an old mill/antique shop near my house. These pictures are adorable Tegan. His mom asked me to take his two year pictures and I happily agreed. What a cute boy!

My Prized Picture

I am totally tossing this one in for fun! I recently wanted to redecorate and I really wanted a nice, large picture of the San Diego LDS temple to display in my front room. I looked at several different places and I found a style that I really liked. The only problem was that the picture was going to cost $300-$400. I couldn't justify the expense, so I got creative and I decided to try to do something on my own. It turns out that what I made is even more meaningful than what I could have bought. I found a picture of the temple taken on our wedding and I worked on it in photoshop. Then I enlarged the picture at a local mom and pop photo shop, (Pro Digital). I then bought a basic black frame for it. I love the picture and I am excited to tell my kids and others about how the picture was taken on one of the happiest, most beautiful days of my life! The picture tells the story!
